Services for adults 18 years of age and older

Payment for Services: TTBH accepts many insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicare. Many services are available on a sliding fee scale, and TTBH will not refuse services to a person based on their inability to pay.

The Adult Mental Health Services Division provides an array of services to adults 18 years of age and older who are suffering from severe depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or any other serious emotional symptoms that interfere with their daily activities. Treatment is individually designed to meet the specific needs of each consumer while promoting independence.

Services Available

  • Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Integrated team services merging clinical and rehabilitative care for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, helping to prevent hospitalization.
  • Case Management Case managers help consumers and families identify needs, resolve problems, negotiate services, and link with other available resources.
  • Counseling Services Group and individual counseling for problem resolution, stress management, coping strategies, and progress maintenance — including emergency services.
  • Crisis Hotline 24-hour help available by calling 877-289-7199. Collect calls accepted. Screenings provided as needed, including determination of need for face-to-face crisis assessment.
  • Crisis Intervention Counseling sessions provided on a scheduled or walk-in basis to ensure appropriate resolution of crisis situations and to prevent hospitalization.
  • Crisis Respite Provides individuals with a safe and closely monitored residential setting while they work through a crisis.
  • Drop-In Center Services A safe, informal place for TTBH clients to socialize, share in group support, and participate in recreational activities. Includes computer lab, laundry, and shower facilities.
  • Family Support Support and advocacy for families living with a family member with a disability, including family education classes and support groups.
  • Intake & Assessment Comprehensive assessments and evaluations by clinical staff on both emergency and scheduled bases, including eligibility determination and service authorization.
  • Medication-Related Services Initial psychiatric evaluation and follow-up, progress monitoring, consumer education, and laboratory services. Physicians see consumers regularly throughout treatment.
  • Outreach Services Efforts to reach consumers who have difficulty seeking appropriate care, provided through co-location with other community agencies.
  • Pharmacy Services Pharmacy services for eligible consumers, providing the highest quality medication at the most economical cost, prescribed by Center physicians.
  • Skills-Training Services Structured therapeutic activities including group interaction, living and community skills, recreational group activities, stress management, and socialization.
  • Supported Employment & Placement Services Structured training and job readiness support for individuals pursuing employment.
  • Supportive Housing Services Assistance in obtaining, maintaining, and retaining regular integrated housing that is safe, affordable, accessible, and chosen by the individual.
  • Telemedicine / Telehealth Services Telehealth services supplement on-site clinical care and improve access. The same standards of care are observed. Clients not comfortable with telehealth will be scheduled for face-to-face appointments.
