Payment for Services: TTBH accepts many insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicare. Many services are available on a sliding fee scale, and TTBH will not refuse services to a person based on their inability to pay.
The integrated primary care clinics provide medical care including diagnosis and treatment of illness, conditions, and/or diseases to adults and minors actively linked to Tropical Texas Behavioral Health services.
Integrating primary care with behavioral health services reduces barriers for clients who already receive mental health or substance use treatment at TTBH, enabling them to access physical health care in the same setting.
Services Available
- Primary Care Visits Diagnosis and treatment of general illness, acute conditions, and chronic diseases for enrolled TTBH behavioral health clients.
- Preventive Care Routine health screenings, immunizations, and wellness visits.
- Chronic Disease Management Ongoing management of conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic illnesses common in the behavioral health population.
- Lab Services On-site or coordinated laboratory services to support diagnosis and medication monitoring.
- Medication Management Coordination of psychiatric and medical medications to reduce interactions and improve overall health outcomes.
- Referral Services Referrals to specialists and community health resources when needed.
