Payment for Services: TTBH accepts many insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicare. Many services are available on a sliding fee scale, and TTBH will not refuse services to a person based on their inability to pay.

Tropical Texas Behavioral Health is committed to providing specialized behavioral health services for veterans throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Our Veterans Center staff understands the unique challenges veterans face and offers culturally sensitive, evidence-based care.

Services Available

  • Mental Health Assessment & Counseling Evaluation and counseling for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other conditions experienced by veterans.
  • Substance Use Disorder Treatment Outpatient treatment including counseling and medication-assisted treatment for veterans struggling with substance use.
  • Case Management Coordination of services, benefits navigation, and linkage to VA and community resources.
  • Crisis Services 24-hour crisis line at 1-877-289-7199. Veterans in crisis may also contact the Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-8255 (Press 1).
  • Family Support Services supporting family members of veterans as they navigate the challenges of caring for a loved one.
  • Peer Support Connection with peer specialists who share the veteran experience and support recovery.
