Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) combines the use of FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to provide a whole-patient approach to the treatment of substance use disorders, particularly opioid and alcohol use disorders.

MAT is clinically driven and tailored to meet each patient's needs. Research shows that a combination of medication and therapy can successfully treat these disorders and help sustain recovery.

About MAT

  • FDA-Approved Medications Medications used in MAT are approved by the FDA and relieve withdrawal symptoms and psychological cravings that cause chemical imbalances in the body.
  • Counseling Services Individual and group counseling are integral to MAT, addressing the behavioral aspects of addiction and supporting long-term recovery.
  • Individualized Treatment Plans Each person's treatment is tailored to their specific needs, history, and recovery goals.
  • Ongoing Monitoring Regular follow-up appointments with medical and clinical staff to monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed.
